Parents wishing to enrol their children in the Kent Christian School should complete the Application Form and return it to the school office. Arrangements will be made for the Admission Officer to interview the parents and child together. Once the child is accepted it will be necessary for the school to arrange for “Diagnostic Tests”.
Pupils accepted from conventional schools are not assigned work on the basis of the form level from which they have come nor on their chronological age. Instead, they are prescribed curriculum on the basis of the results of the diagnostic testing which is a measurement of their current abilities.
We expect the children and their families to contribute in time and effort (maintenance, homework, meetings, behaviour, and punctuality, uniform). We are in this together. Parents’ attendance at Maintenance Days, Prayer meetings, parent consultations and the Summer Banquet are encourage. They must take priority over other commitments. A Standard of Conduct Form must be signed by older students and their parents before entrance into the school.
We have some degree of entry requirements for students. Preschool students must be toilet trained. We usually only take Senior students up to the age of 14. We only take senior students who are willing to conform to the morals and work system of the school. We do consider people in exceptional circumstances and pray over each child’s entrance.
During the course of the year pupils are given an independent Achievement Test to assess their academic progress.
